About the art class

Cyanotype is a creative technique that produces blueprints using photo sensitive paper, light and water rather than a camera.
We will create botanical prints using found objects, place under perspex and using the power of sunlight (or a UV lamp if it is raining) we will expose the paper to create the print. The prints are then washed in cold water and a splash of hydrogen peroxide (this will be administered by the tutor) is added to bring out the mesmerizing Prussian blue color.
Ararimu School children can be collected from outside the school office at 3pm and will be walked over to the hall. If you would like your child collected from Ararimu School please contact the school office to allow this.
We will have a light afternoon tea and settle in and start creating.
The class will finish at 4.30pm.
