Jasper Johns Mixed Media Alphabet

In this class we’re inspired by American artist Jasper Johns who frequently used letters in his artworks, either layered or depicted individually. We will use oil pastels to explore the shapes and lines of each letter of the alphabet and then paint with watercolour around them. Children will create and design their own unique colourful alphabet.

Ararimu School children can be collected from outside the school office at 3pm and will be walked over to the hall. If you would like your child collected from Ararimu School please contact the school office to allow this.

We will have a light afternoon tea and settle in and start creating.

The class will finish at 4.30pm.

Please bring a change of clothes if you feel your child needs it and parents are welcome to attend classes to support their children.
